WHAT WE ARE BUILDING
The First Mile is held inside Eco Beach City.
On the same beach where you will run, we are building Eco Beach City: a real coastal town in Sumba with 300 hectares of land, 2 km of beach, beachfront homes, a beach club, a wellness district, padel and tennis courts, coworking, and a venture builder.
If running is not your only reason to come, you can also own a home there. Beachfront homes start from €36,500. Founder Plots are reserved for First Mile members. Villas and beachfront mansions are open to anyone who wants to live or invest on the island.

We don't run famous races. We create the first ones.
Most runners chase races that already exist. The medals, the cities, the courses everyone has heard of.
First Mile Club is built for the runner who wants to be first.
Every year, we go to one extraordinary destination where no global race has ever been held. We design the first official course. We open the first finish line ever marked on that ground.
The runners who show up that year do not join a race. They create one.
And when they cross the line, they do not collect a medal. They collect a piece of the island.
THE FIRST DESTINATION
Sumba: recently named one of the most beautiful islands in the world.
An island in eastern Indonesia, only one hour by plane from Bali, but a world away from it.
Sumba is the size of Jamaica. Wild empty beaches with no footprints. Cliffs over the Indian Ocean. Traditional Marapu villages still built the way they were a thousand years ago. Horses running on white sand at sunset. Some of the longest, cleanest waves in Asia.
It is home to the retreat ranked Best Hotel in the World by Travel + Leisure. The island itself has been repeatedly featured among the most beautiful destinations on earth by international travel press.
It has never hosted a global race. In the first edition of First Mile, it will.

Travel to Sumba
The first edition is held on Sumba, Indonesia. You will be among the first people ever to run an official race there.

SELECTION
Selection is by story, not by spend.
First Mile Club is limited to 1,000 numbered memberships worldwide. To protect the global character of the club, we typically accept around 10 members per country.
That number is not a fixed rule. It is a guide. Some countries fill up faster. Some never reach the cap. What matters most is what you transmit in your application.
